The main quest of my expeditions is to explore the cultural aspects of the native territories and its inhabitants and to learn from sacred wisdom while honouring, respecting, loving and supporting indigenous traditions.

I hardly ever follow touristic routes. Instead, I seek permission to be guided to sources of ancient wisdom, venturing through the sacred temples and mystical places of power.

Expeditions to Peru

There are two variations of the Peruvian expedition I invite you to: shorter, 12-day expeditions focus on two weeks of a dieta – integrative work with plant-based medicine in the native jungle environment and is aimed for people who would like to concentrate on this aspect of visitation to Peru, solely. Longer, 21-day expeditions invite a group into a more complex, well-paced journey through the land of the Incas.

We will explore not only ancient paths and ruins of the Sacred Valley, but also venture into the arms of the rainforest, its inhabitants and spirits. The core part of both expeditions focuses on an intentional work with the emotional, psychological and physical spheres of our beings through healing processes practiced by Shipibo-Conibo tribes for over 4,000 years. The work is achieved with the help of the sacred medicines: Huachuma and Ayahuasca and Mapacho supervised by local, very experienced and extremely trustworthy wisdom keepers whom I have been previously worked with.

Into the arms of Nimea Kaya – Expedition’s schedule:

12 days expedition is limited to Pucallpa experience only, while 21 days expedition provides full experience (Cusco – Pisac – Sacred Valley – Pucallpa), as detailed below. The group gathers in Peru and we travel together to these places:

Cusco. We meet in Cusco, a beautiful and multicultural city in the middle of the Peruvian Andes, once a great capital of the Inca Empire, now known for its amazing archaeological remains and a meeting hub for all kinds of adventurers.

Pisac. We travel together to the village of Pisac, a small town located in the southern region of Peru’s Sacred Valley. Pisac is known and adored by many for its lively handcrafts market in the main square and breathtaking view of the surrounding hills and mountains. A path winds from the square past agricultural terraces up to the Pisac Archaeological Park, a hilltop Incan citadel with ancient temples, plazas as well as the Intihuatana, a stone structure thought to have been used as an ancient sundial and Temple of Sun. Views from the top stretch across the Quitamayo gorge and the surrounding valley. It is also here where we ignite our journey into self.

We begin our journey through the sacred lands of the Incas by participating in a beautiful Despacho Ceremony. For hundreds of years, the Laika (high shamans or wisdom keepers of the Q’ero lineage of Peru) have used the Despacho ceremony for a wide variety of occasions – births, deaths, as an expression of gratitude, to heal physical and emotional ailments, to restore balance and harmony, or when there is a specific request of the spirit world. This is our gateway and the first step of our journey, into the realm of higher purpose.

Our stay in Pisac is concluded with a powerful Huachuma (San Pedro cactus) ceremony, conducted by a local, native shaman. San Pedro Ceremonies are truly transformative and heart opening. This potent medicine aims to open the heart to love and peace within the self and establish a profound connection with the surrounding world. One can say, that Huachuma is complimented by the medicine of Ayahuasca. According to the local tradition, Huachuma is the masculine of the two medicines, and Ayahuasca is the feminine.  Shamans say that Ayahuasca will show you what you need to change and will give you insight into your challenges and issues, while Huachuma will give you the power to make that change.

Sacred Valley.  We visit stunningly beautiful parts of the Sacred Valley,  a region in Peru’s Andean highlands. Depending on the time agreed upon and variant we travel to places of ancient power, the Pisac archaeological park, ruins of the ancient fortress named Ollantaytambo, the ancient outdoor salt mines of Maras and the mysterious agricultural terraces of Moray. We conclude with an unmissable trip to the ancient city of Machu Picchu, the heart of the Inca Empire.

Pucallpa. After the Sacred Valley, we travel to Pucallpa where we stay and work with native wisdom keepers, one of which is Maestra Shamana of the Shipibo tribe, Curandera Juana Silvano Teco, also known as Isa Yaka (Hummingbird), who has been using her skills as to serve as a shaman for the local community for her entire life. Among her many practices, she works mainly with spirits of Ayahuasca and Noya Rao. We stay one or two weeks and participate in 3 to 6 Ayahuasca ceremonies, depending on the variant agreed. Those of you who are interested in participating in longer dietas are asked to address and discuss this with me in advance so I can arrange dates with Maestra.
